Bioshock 4 has been in development for several years, and although it has not yet been officially revealed to the public, a recent job ad gives us some clues as to what kind of world it will take place in. Judging by a recent job advertisement for a studio developing a new Bioshock game, it won’t take place in either Rapture or Columbia. To remind you, we walked through Rapture uneasily and cautiously in the first two Bioshock titles, while in Bioshock: Infinite we jumped around the heavenly city of Columbia. The DLC for Infinite later linked those two locations through specific events, but these are certainly two separate locations. It seems that for Bioshock 4, or as it will be called, a whole new world is evolving. Studio Cloud Chamber, formed as a new internal team within 2K in charge of developing the new Bioshock, has published a job advertisement asking candidates, among other things: “We want you to set an example as you lead efforts to help us breathe life into the new and a fantastic world ”. This of course suggests that the world of the new Bioshock will not be something we have already seen. Candidates are also required to be able to translate conceptual drawings into visually appealing 3D models and architecture and exaggerate some details in them to the level of caricature. And that sounds just like Bioshock - a bunch of exaggerated political and social motives in an unusual location that hides a deeper mystery. When will that Bioshock 4 come out? Slowly, slowly - the game has not even been officially announced yet. Maybe you want to read about eFootball PES 2021 will not have empty stadiums.
