Every year between July 17 and August 24, a real spectacle takes place in the sky - the Perseid meteor shower. The culmination of this celestial phenomenon is tonight and tomorrow evening. Several thousand tons of different particles and dust enter our atmosphere every year, and a huge amount of these particles burn in the atmosphere and do not reach the surface of the Earth. But some of them "survive" and fall to the surface and they are called meteorites. The speed at which particles enter the atmosphere of our planet ranges from 30 to 70 km / h and the meteor light phenomenon occurs at an altitude of 80 to 120 km. In recent years, during the maximum activity of the Perseids, 80 to 100 meteors per hour could be observed. The Perseids are probably the most famous and beautiful meteor showers. How can I see the Perseids? The website astronomija.mk of the Skopje Astronomical Society writes that the Perseids can produce one to two meteors per minute for a certain observer under the dark, rural sky. Any light pollution or moonlight significantly reduces the number of visible objects. For the 2020 celestial show, as the Moon rises around 11 a.m. in the last quarter, it is best to look for meteors immediately after dark and before the moon rises. The meteors appear to be coming out of the constellation Perseus, after which the rain, which rises after midnight in the northeastern sky throughout the northern hemisphere, is named after it. But it is recommended to look to the northeast from the beginning of the night to catch even the falling stars. Maybe you want to read about Konami started producing gaming computers.
